Psychiatrist Guilty of Improper Relationship and Other Misconduct to Keep License

August 22, 2025

A Las Vegas psychiatrist, Dr. Hisbay Ali, will be permitted to keep his Nevada state psychiatry license after the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners learned of numerous counts of professional misconduct. The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners placed an immediate summary suspension on Dr. Ali’s medical license following the reports of misconduct.

Fortunately for Dr. Ali, his attorney was able to negotiate a settlement that preserved his license, and he will be able to continue helping patients in the Las Vegas Area. If you’re being accused of professional misconduct, the LLF National Law Firm can fight to preserve your license. Dr. Hisbay Ali’s History of Professional Misconduct

Before the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Ali admitted to engaging in various forms of misconduct. Perhaps the most serious instance of misconduct was Dr. Ali’s sexual relationship with one of his female patients. When his patient attempted to end the sexual relationship, Dr. Ali continued to contact her against her wishes.

Dr. Ali also admitted to illegally prescribing controlled substances to a patient. Other misconduct included failing to report certain information to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. Under Nevada law, physicians are required to report their arrests to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Ali did not report a 2022 misdemeanor domestic violence arrest or a 2024 misdemeanor DUI arrest.

Negotiations to Preserve Dr. Ali’s Medical License

When state licensure boards pursue disciplinary action against licensed professionals, it requires a significant amount of time and resources. Boards often prefer to settle these cases, and Dr. Ali’s case was no different for the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Ali’s legal team was able to negotiate a deal that allows him to continue practicing, provided he complies with the terms of his settlement agreement, including but not limited to completing a professional ethics program, undergoing a substance abuse evaluation and treatment, and paying the costs of his investigation.
