Georgia Daycare to Have Operating License Revoked Over Several Violations

Posted by Joseph D. Lento | May 27, 2024 | 0 Comments

Daycare centers can run into many administrative and license-related issues since taking care of children is such a critical and important task and is strictly regulated. Complaints and disciplinary issues aren't always just neglect or safety-related. There can be many reasons for a daycare to get into trouble with the licensing board, from failing to meet administrative requirements to fire safety issues, sanitation issues, a low adult professional-to-child ratio, and so much more.

If you have had a complaint made against your daycare, or are facing an investigation or other issues with the licensing board, get in touch with the nationwide Professional License Defense Team at the Lento Law Firm immediately. The sooner you act, the better your chances of retaining your license, and facing minimal censure or disciplinary sanctions. Daycare Center Big Blue Marble Academy Faces Closure After Safety Issues and Other Rule Violations

Grovetown daycare center Big Blue Marble Academy is facing closure and revocation of its operating license after allegations of rule violation. Many of the violations are health and safety-related. According to a report, one child suffered as many as a hundred ant bites. Other allegations include improper discipline issues and hygiene issues.

Numerous violations have come to light since July 2023, and the total number of allegations against the center now far exceed what is considered acceptable by the board. The exact number of violations isn't clear since the license revocation hasn't been posted online yet, but reports estimate the number to be between 14 to 18, or more.

The center has appealed the license revocation and plans to stay open until further notice.

Aside from obvious issues such as perceived neglect, abuse, or health and safety issues, daycare centers may also face closure over a number of administrative, maintenance, and fire safety issues. With so many things to keep on top of, daycare centers can sometimes make mistakes or overlook issues that may lead to complaints and subsequent suspension or revocation of their operating license. The Lento Law Firm has a Professional License Defense Team of skilled attorneys who have years of experience dealing with licensure issues nationwide and have helped many professionals avoid losing their licenses and livelihoods. We can help you make sense of the complaints and allegations against you, draft verbal or written responses to the allegations against you, gather evidence that supports your defense, and help you avoid severe sanctions or loss of license.
